Join us for a day of ICD-10-CM Intermediate Coding as Arlynn Hansell spends the day with attendees who have coding experience in the home health and hospice industry. If you need a refresher, consider attending the Basics Coding Course the day before.

OBJECTIVES:
• Quick review of ICD-10 coding conventions and guidelines
• Participants will learn about assumptions that can and cannot be made in coding
• Complications coding
• Wounds: pressure ulcers, surgical wounds, trauma, stasis ulcers, diabetic ulcers
• Variety of systems coding: Cardiovascular, respiratory, diabetes, neoplasms, musculoskeletal including fractures, GI/GU
• Poisoning, adverse effects, use of the Table of Drugs and Chemicals
• Brief look into the pending world of PDGM coding
• Participants will have the opportunity to apply ICD-10 guidance to patient scenarios

Arlynn Hansell, PT, HCS-D, HCS-H, HCS-O, COS-C
Arlynn Hansell has been a Physical Therapist in both the home health and SNF settings since October 1998, holding positions of therapist, rehab manager, and quality/compliance assurance. Arlynn is the Owner of Therapy and More, LLC, where services consist of OASIS auditing, ICD-10 coding for home health and hospice, therapy visit note audits, and end of episode quality reviews. In addition, she assists agencies in achieving therapy documentation and practice excellence in order to better position themselves against auditors. Arlynn is appointed to the BMSC Home Health Advisory Panel, where she serves as Vice Chair. She was a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, where she served as the past Vice President of the Home Health Section. She is involved in the creation and editing of the HCS-D, HCS-O, HCS-H certification exams, and is the editor of the Home Care Clinical Specialist – OASIS D online guidance.
